Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

i think it' a great idea. more people are going to switch to satellite now, because they couldn't decide whitch company to go with. furthermore, if clearchannel(and greedy record labels that churn out bands like pancakes) hadn't ruined braodcast radio we wouldn't need satellite.

i don't know about other parts of the country, but i grew up in new orleans and we had a bad ass radio station called 106.7 the end(kknd). that was until around '96-'97 when clearchannel bought them and things slowly started changing into the crap that's on the airwaves today.

Wow! Now I'll be able to decide between O&A or Howard Stern... I think I'll still pick O&A, though. Stern is just not as funny as they are.

I like the idea myself. Some keep arguing about competition, but I have to agree with the point of alternatives to radio such as the IPOD--having more than one satellite radio company just really doesn't seem necessary.
